Dear Potential Sponsor:

Thank you for showing interest in HomeTown Idol 2008.  This is the 6th year the Twin Cities Jaycees have organized and ran this event. The Jaycees is an organization of young men and women between the ages of 21-40 who learn leadership training by conducting community service projects.  The Twin Cities Jaycees have served the communities of Otsego and Plainwell since we were chartered in September of 2000.

Hometown Idol is a fundraising event and this year we have once again decided to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, a nonprofit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.  Over the course of the HomeTown Idol project, we’ve been able to donate over $35,000 to various charities.  We’ve sent a little girl suffering from Ovarian Cancer to Disney World.  We helped a young man with Cystic Fibrosis live the dream of catching a few waves in Hawaii.  We’ve helped educate and repair the effects of Teen Suicide, and Child Abuse, and have built better leaders out of ourselves while doing so.

We already have a date for our final competition of April 19th at the State Theater in Kalamazoo.  We know this will be a very positive community event and a worthwhile endeavor.  If, through our efforts, we are able to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy, then we have accomplished our mission.  We would like to ask for your sponsorship in this exciting event.

This would be a great opportunity to get involved in our community, advertise your business, and help raise money for a worthwhile organization.  If you have any questions, feel free to call the event chairpersons, Neta Saldivar at (269)744-6313 or Ryan Taylor at (269)806-3136.

Thank you for you support,
